I purchased the Sebamed Sensitive Skin Roll-On Deodorant from Rossmann, trusting its claims of being formulated for sensitive skin and free of aluminum. I thought it would be a safer, gentler option. But to my surprise, it caused an extremely painful allergic reaction. My underarms became red, inflamed, and irritated—almost like a rash or diaper burn.
I do not have sensitive skin, nor have I experienced such a reaction from even more affordable roll-ons before. I visited my doctor, who advised me to stop using the product immediately. After discontinuing it, my skin began to heal within 4–5 days. This outcome was not just unexpected—it was alarming.
I specifically chose Sebamed because I believed in its reputation for being safe, especially for people concerned with skin health. I now feel misled. How can a product labeled “for sensitive skin” cause this level of harm?
The unused product is still in my possession and can be analyzed if needed. I am requesting a clear explanation, an official apology, and compensation for the physical discomfort and disappointment I experienced. If we can’t even trust brands like Sebamed, who can we rely on?
