A complete disappointment, the Galaxy S24 Ultra... The phone I bought on 06/24/2024 had its screen broken just 3 days later when the charger hit it. This phone supposedly has a shock-resistant screen. Despite having a screen protector, I had to get the screen replaced at an authorized service center. They classified it as user error, and I accepted the fee. While there's not much more to say about that, the fact that the screen of a brand-new phone broke so easily raises serious questions. It's almost as if the screen was designed to break! Now, onto the main issue. Samsung advertises everywhere that "There's no need to worry. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is IP68 water and dust-resistant." However, it turns out that water resistance is not covered by the warranty, and it's also classified as user error. Their ads across social media and their website, which claim the phone can withstand being submerged in 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes, are misleading. My phone fell into a children's pool, which was only 1.20 meters deep, landing on the stairs at a depth of no more than 25 cm. I retrieved the phone in 10-15 seconds, but it gave a warning and shut down, never to turn on again.
It's absurd that this phone absorbed so much water in just 10 seconds and was completely destroyed. Either it's a defective product from the factory, or the phone's water resistance was compromised by the service center when they replaced the screen after only 3 days. Yet, Samsung blames the user for everything, ignoring their own advertisements, and asked for ₺36,500 to repair the phone, stating that water damage isn't covered under warranty. I will fight for my rights to the end and make my complaint heard on all platforms. I’m considering filing a lawsuit with the Consumer Arbitration Board. Do not buy this phone, and don’t let anyone else make the mistake of buying it. Even their AI features are exaggerated. Nothing they claim holds true.
