I Regret Buying the Samsung S24 FE Because Battery and Ping Issues Got Worse
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE 256 GB model I purchased from Vatan Bilgisayar on 09/10/2024 is draining battery far too quickly. I haven’t even been using the phone for a full year yet. Under the previous interface update, One UI 6, the phone could easily last an entire day on a full charge during normal daily use, even while watching videos and playing games. There was a constant ping issue with mobile data, but at least the battery was sufficient. Everything changed with the new update—One UI 7. Now, even with power saving mode on and under regular usage conditions, the phone doesn’t last even six hours on a full charge. If this continues, I will return the phone. Also, it turns out there really is a problem with its network. I constantly experience high and unstable ping while on mobile data. I even ran a mobile network test using the same carrier on a Xiaomi 14T Pro, a device in the same segment. While the Xiaomi 14T Pro delivered low and stable ping results, the S24 FE showed consistently high and fluctuating pings. Many Samsung users have mentioned this issue, and unfortunately, they were right. I even changed my mobile operator because of this, but the problems persisted. I want to return this phone and will pursue my legal rights.
Progress
I purchased a Samsung Galaxy S24 FE 256 GB phone through the Vatan Computer app on 09/10/2024 and physically picked it up from the store on 17/10/2024, as indicated on the invoice. I had to wait because the box did not include a charger adapter or a protective case. Since the day I started using the phone, I never used it without a protective case. However, I recently noticed unexplained surface deformations on the phone’s metal frame. I discovered this issue when I removed the case to clean the dust, and I saw tiny paint chips and surface peeling all around the metal frame. Being fully aware that this is not due to user error, I believe it is a manufacturing defect. I am sending the phone to your authorized service, hoping that it will be properly examined and understood. Yesterday, I also submitted a complaint regarding a software issue—this current complaint is hardware-related and clearly points to a production defect. From top to bottom, this phone has serious manufacturing flaws, both software and hardware. I kindly request a full refund for this phone without having to pursue legal action. I know my rights and would prefer not to escalate this issue further.
