Royal Canin Changed the Urinary S O Food My Cat Refuses Now

I have been feeding my 4-year-old male cat Royal Canin Urinary S/O regularly for about 3 years. I’ve always purchased the food from a clinic, and he ate it eagerly and without any issues. However, the bag I bought last week was noticeably different in size, color, and smell compared to previous ones, and my cat absolutely refused to eat it. He sniffed it and walked away. There is clearly something strange about this batch. Despite reaching out multiple times via phone and email, even contacting Royal Canin’s France headquarters, I haven’t received a satisfying explanation. You’ve either changed the formula or something is wrong with this food—it’s unclear whether it’s spoiled or counterfeit. Thankfully, when I explained the situation to our veterinarian, they accepted the return. But now we’re having trouble because we can’t use the food he’s used to, and we’re forced to try other brands. Please explain what you’ve done to this food!
