Resumaker.ai Misleading Subscription And Unauthorized €29.99 Charge
I used the CV builder service on Resumaker.ai for the first time while accessing the website from Italy. I signed up believing I was paying only €0.99 for a one-time use of the tool. At no point during the checkout process was it clearly and prominently disclosed that I was also agreeing to a recurring subscription of €29.99. The information about the recurring subscription was not presented in a clear and transparent manner, and I only became aware of it after the money had already been taken from my account. On 13 June 2026, I was charged €29.99 on my debit card under the reference “Resumaker.it 35939568”. As soon as I noticed the unexpected charge that same morning, I immediately logged into my account, cancelled the subscription myself, and contacted Resumaker.ai customer support. Their first reply simply confirmed that my subscription had been cancelled, which I had already done myself. I then requested a full refund of the €29.99, explaining that I had not knowingly agreed to any recurring subscription. I have not received any response to my refund request or any further assistance. I have not used the subscription after discovering the charge. I consider this subscription process misleading because I would never have agreed to a recurring subscription of €29.99 had it been clearly and transparently disclosed before payment. I respectfully request a full refund of the €29.99 charged on 13 June 2026 and written confirmation that no further payments will be taken from my debit card.
