I bought a used 2014 Clio 1.4 with an automatic transmission. It's been eight months. Despite receiving confirmation from the most thorough inspection, the transmission problem was not discovered. Nonetheless, I've been plagued by gearbox issues, with reverse gear frequently becoming disabled. Even restarting the car does not solve the problem, which is accompanied by three error messages: 'Transmission Overheating,' 'Check Transmission,' and 'Check Exhaust Emission.' I had the car repaired last week, and they blamed it on a robot malfunction, which cost me a whopping 15,000 TL. However, the error reappeared on my first drive following the repair. According to online research, there are several potential culprits, ranging from transmission control units to clutches and forks. The alarming fact is that repairing this problem will cost nearly half the value of the car. This appears to be a widespread issue, a chronic problem affecting many Renault vehicles, particularly the Clio, Fluence, and Megane models. This issue has been acknowledged and addressed in France, but we in Turkey are left to foot the bill for a manufacturer-caused problem. This is not acceptable; Renault should be held accountable. I strongly urge Renault to accept responsibility for this problem. If the problem cannot be resolved without incurring additional costs, I will escalate this complaint globally, including to Renault's headquarters in France. It's disappointing to see a brand I've admired and trusted let down its customers in this way. Renault, as a global powerhouse, has the capability and obligation to correct this situation, in my opinion. Please be aware that if no action is taken to address my complaints, I will seek a resolution through all available channels. The word about my experience will spread beyond this platform.
