I Regret Buying a Second Hand Clio 1.0 TCe Manual from Renault

I bought a second-hand Clio 1.0 TCe manual vehicle from the Çetaş Mahmutbey Renault dealership on December 23, 2024. Since the day I bought it, I’ve had problems with the gear shifts. When I returned to the dealership, they first wanted to open the transmission for a fee, and only after I objected did they try to charge Renault Mais instead. They claimed the transmission had no issues and said the thrust bearing needed to be replaced, even though they originally sold me the car saying it had a solid pressure pad. The service center asked for ₺70,000, but I had it repaired elsewhere for ₺40,000—yet the issue remains. The vehicle still occasionally gets stuck in gear or won’t release it. I also replaced the clutch sub-cylinder, but the same problem continues. Multiple mechanics I consulted said the transmission is clearly faulty and must be replaced. Setting all that aside, when I tried to sell the car, we ran an inspection with the buyer, and the report showed a difference compared to the one provided by the dealership during the sale. It turned out that the left front shoulder pillar had been painted. When I confronted the dealership, they admitted it was painted, claiming it was a “reporting error”—a laughable excuse. Knowingly hiding a defect like this is deception. Çetaş Mahmutbey has clearly misled me, and I will pursue my rights through every possible channel. I do not recommend the Çetaş Mahmutbey Renault dealership to anyone. They do not stand behind what they sell and say straight to your face, “We sold it, the rest is not our concern.” The vehicle is supposedly under warranty, yet they make sure you can’t benefit from it.
