Remitly Delayed Refund Caused Savings Account Closure

May 14 7:48 PM17

I am writing to report an issue with Remitly regarding a canceled transaction and a refund that has still not been processed, which has now also caused a problem with my savings account. I used the Remitly mobile application in the USA and made a payment of 1,000 dollars from my savings account. The transaction was later canceled by Remitly and since then I have been waiting for my refund for about 30 days. During this period, I contacted Remitly customer service and was told only to wait for a call to find out what the next step would be. However, no clear information or solution has been provided, and my money is still not returned to my account. Because the 1,000-dollar refund has not been received, my savings account balance went down to 0, and a 9.99 fee was then charged, which led to my savings account being closed. This situation has created additional financial and practical difficulties for me, as I had to use the remaining money for my bills and now no longer have access to that savings account. I request that my 1,000 dollars be refunded without any further delay and that Remitly take into consideration the consequences this delay has caused for my savings account situation.
