My father bought me a Realme C55 on June 8, 2023. Just one year later, the battery swelled, forcing us to use the insurance. The very next day, on June 9, 2024, we took the phone to a Mediatek Markt branch, and they suggested sending it to service. KVK, however, demanded an absurd ₺4,937 for the repair!
Naturally, since we bought the phone from the store, we found a trusted repair shop in a business center that fixed it for ₺800. Everything worked perfectly fine from August until January 19, 2025. While watching TikTok on my Realme C55, the phone suddenly shut down and became completely unresponsive. With no backup phone, we sent it to service again, only to be told the motherboard was broken.
What am I supposed to do now? I haven't even had time to write to the Consumer Arbitration Committee, but I desperately hope the Realme team contacts me. I've been using my father's spare phone for the past six months because of this unreliable device. Realme, you need to provide a solution for my defective C55 immediately! This recurring pattern of critical failures is unacceptable. Replace my phone or offer a full refund now!
