Qatar Airways Refused Boarding Due to Faded Passport Photo
On October 8, we planned a 12-day honeymoon trip from Singapore to Bali, but Qatar Airways refused to let me board at Sabiha Gökçen Airport due to a slightly faded passport photo. I’ve used this passport for years, including getting a visa from France 7 months ago, but they still denied boarding. As a result, we lost our Singapore hotel booking, flights, and were charged an additional $345 per person for not boarding.
After quickly obtaining a new passport, we had to rebook tickets at a much higher cost of $1000 per person, compared to the original $800. Despite my spouse’s repeated efforts to resolve the issue, Qatar Airways has not provided any compensation, completely ruining our honeymoon. We will be pursuing legal action to recover our losses.
