Qatar Airways Ignored Cabin Noise Complaint in Rear Seating Area


On December 6, 2025, I traveled with two friends on Qatar Airways flight QR961, seated in seats 44K, 44J, and 44H. From the moment we boarded the aircraft, the noise level in our seating area was far above normal; it was so loud that we could barely hear our own voices. There was an extremely disturbing, ear-straining noise, and throughout the approximately 9 hour and 30 minute flight, this noise never decreased and became extremely difficult to tolerate. We repeatedly reported this discomfort to the cabin crew. At first, they told us they would look for alternative seats for us in the front sections of the aircraft, but afterward no one followed up, provided any information, or offered a solution. We were forced to remain in the same seats under this excessive noise for a long period of time without any alternatives being presented. From an airline like Qatar Airways, which promotes itself as a leader in comfort and customer satisfaction, I find it unacceptable that such a severely uncomfortable situation was ignored on a long-haul flight. I paid a total of $2,156 for this flight. Due to the lack of comfort, the physical discomfort we experienced, and the indifference of the cabin crew, I am requesting a refund of the amount I paid for this flight. I also expect my complaint to be taken seriously and that any technical or operational issues affecting similar seats or cabin sections be properly addressed. My reservation PNR code is YGKQQX.
