Preply Promised a Refund Then Changed Its Policy
I purchased a subscription through Preply for approximately $132. Under this subscription, I had a total of 14 lessons available. I attended only 4 lessons, and my account currently shows 10 unused lessons remaining.
When I contacted customer service through messaging, they clearly told me that if I canceled my subscription, they could refund the value of my remaining unused lessons. Based on this information, I decided to cancel my subscription. However, when I tried to do so, I was then told that a refund was not possible because a certain time period had already passed. This explanation completely contradicts the information previously provided by the same company, leaving me feeling both disadvantaged and misled.
I am requesting a refund for the 10 unused lessons in accordance with the information I was initially given. If a time limit is being cited as the reason for denying the refund, I should not be held responsible for the fact that this information was not clearly and accurately communicated to me from the beginning. I am requesting that my subscription be canceled and that the remaining balance for my unused lessons be refunded to my account.
