PhonePe Deducted ₹699 Through an AutoPay Mandate I Never Authorized

I use the PhonePe account linked to the mobile number 98750300**. I recently noticed that an amount of 699 ₹ was debited from my account via PhonePe to “Mohallatech Private Limited”. This payment appears as an active AutoPay mandate from my Bank of Baroda account in favor of Mohallatech Private Limited for up to 699 ₹, but I do not know this merchant and I never knowingly set up such an AutoPay for any product or service. According to the information in my PhonePe records, this AutoPay was created around 31 October 2026. Before that, on 20 August 2026, a 1 ₹ amount was auto debited, which I now strongly suspect was related to the setup or testing of this AutoPay, again without my clear knowledge or understanding. I did not intentionally authorize a recurring payment of 699 ₹ to Mohallatech Private Limited, I have received nothing in return, and I do not recognize any subscription, service or purchase that would justify this AutoPay. I consider this to be an unauthorized or mistaken AutoPay registration in my PhonePe account. I request that PhonePe urgently investigate how this AutoPay to Mohallatech Private Limited was created in my name, clarify the exact flow and authorization method used, and inform me clearly which screen or action from my side is being treated as consent for this mandate. As I did not knowingly approve this AutoPay, I kindly request a full refund of the 699 ₹ taken under this mandate back to my original payment source and written confirmation that this AutoPay to Mohallatech Private Limited has been permanently cancelled. I also request a written explanation of the findings of your investigation and what measures will be taken to prevent similar unauthorized AutoPay registrations on my account in the future.
