On April 26, 2026, an amount of ₹2600 was automatically debited from my Axis Bank savings account via PhonePe through an autopay mandate for a Google subscription. This charge was processed without my active confirmation at the time, and I did not receive the expected service or benefit in return.
When I contacted PhonePe customer support regarding this transaction, I was informed that once the amount is deducted, it cannot be refunded. However, no proper solution, investigation, or alternative resolution was offered. I find this response unsatisfactory, especially considering that the payment was made through autopay and appears to have been processed without delivering the expected value.
My UPI ID is 896971---@axl, and the disputed transaction amount is ₹2600. I request a full refund of this amount and a proper review of this autopay arrangement. I also ask that necessary steps be taken to prevent any similar unauthorized or unexpected debits in the future.
