Philips 65pus8505 TV Crashes After Wall Mounting, Repeated Service Failures

October 28, 2023 9:59 AM21

I bought a Philips 65pus8505 TV two years and four months ago. I decided to hang it on the wall about a month ago. The same day I hung it up, the screen stopped working. The warranty expired three months ago. I called the authorized service, and they said that the main board got fried because of a power surge. I told them that my house was built three years ago and has modern electrical wiring, but they kept insisting that it was caused by a power surge. The TV was taken in for repairs, and they replaced the main board. However, a week later, it stopped working again. They gave it back, brought it back a week later, and once again, the board was fried. All of this happened while the service was watching. So, I asked if it could be because of the wall mount. They took off the bracket, and guess what, the TV started working. They confessed that it was indeed because of the mountain. My TV is currently at the service center, and they are charging me a service fee of 5500 TL. If I were to set it up in the same way as before, it would cause the same issue. This TV looks like it's broken. I'm going to file a complaint with the Consumer Court. It has been a month and I don't have a TV.
