PDF Guru Unauthorized Transaction - Refund Request
On 19 February 2026, I purchased a 7‑day subscription on the PDF Guru website for $1.40 AUD. I understood this to be a short, limited subscription that would end after 7 days, and I did not intend to continue with any longer or more expensive plan. However, after the 7‑day period ended, Pdfguru charged my account $70 AUD for a full month subscription instead of simply ending the service or, at most, renewing another 7‑day period. I did not authorize this $70 AUD payment, I did not knowingly agree to a monthly plan, and I have not received any email or clear information stating that my account would be moved to a 1‑month automatic subscription at this price. I contacted Pdfguru customer support to explain that the $70 AUD charge was unauthorized and to request a refund, but they refused to provide a refund. This situation has left me both disappointed and concerned about how this billing was handled. I request that Pdfguru immediately refund the full amount of $70 AUD that was charged without my authorization and cancel any ongoing subscription linked to my account so that I am not charged again in the future.
