PayPal Scam Payment – Unable to Reach Customer Support

July 20 3:30 PM

I am writing to report a very serious issue with a PayPal payment and the complete lack of access to real customer support. On 16 May 2026 I accidentally sent €300 via PayPal to a person called Chris E***, who was in Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands at the time. The payment went out as a transfer of €300 from my account instead of being received by me. In the note section of the transfer, the text “PAY IMMEDIATELY TO AVOID LEGAL ACTION” appears, which shows the circumstances under which this money was taken from me against my will. I have reasons to believe that this person may also be scamming at least five or six other people. For the past three months I have been trying to reach PayPal urgently about this situation. Every attempt to contact customer support by phone has only led me to an automated voice system that sends me in circles without ever allowing me to speak to a real person. Given the seriousness of the situation and the clear risk of ongoing fraud, this has been extremely distressing and has made me feel completely unsupported as a customer. I am urgently requesting that PayPal reverse this €300 transfer if possible and fully investigate the PayPal account belonging to Chris E*** in connection with this transaction. I ask that this case be treated as an emergency and that I be contacted by a real human representative so that this matter can be properly reviewed and resolved.
