Omio Train Ticket Price Jumps at Payment Screen

December 7, 2025 1:24 PM39

For about two weeks, I have been trying to purchase a train ticket from Amsterdam to Brussels for January 3, 2026 through Omio. There is a significant difference between the price shown in the app and the price displayed on the payment screen. When I reach the final step, a warning appears saying “Our partner company has made a change,” and the price suddenly increases to nearly double.

This is not a one-time error; the same thing has happened every time I’ve tried over the past two weeks. If your partner company has changed the price, then the correct price should be shown from the beginning. Attracting users with a low price and then doubling it at the final step creates a misleading and trust-breaking experience. Moreover, despite reaching out to customer service during this entire period, I have not received any response.

I request a clear explanation for why the displayed price and the payment-stage price differ so drastically, that this misleading pricing process be corrected, and that users be shown a clear and accurate price from the very beginning.
