Nokian Weatherproof Tire Complaint: Premature Edge Fragmentation
In October 2021, I bought a set of Nokian Weatherproof tyres with a size of 205 55 16 and a load index of 91H. But from May 2023 onwards, after driving around 25,000 km, the front and rear tyres started to break apart at the edges. I encountered the same problem with the exact same model of tyres that I purchased for my sibling back in February 2022. I used to be a happy Nokian user in the past, but it appears that there is a manufacturing issue with this particular series.
Dear Valued Customer, First of all, we would like to express our regret for the situation you have experienced. Necessary information regarding your message has been sent to the email address you provided. For any questions or issues, you can reach us. We present the matter for your information and wish you healthy days. Sincerely, Nokian Tyres
First of all, I would like to thank the importing company for their interest. They did their best and conveyed my complaint to the manufacturer. However, it is not understandable that the manufacturer wants the number showing the tread depth measurements on the damaged tire. I could understand if they asked for measurement photos taken with a caliper or any measuring device. In the end, they considered it as wear and tear due to usage. I will no longer buy Nokian.
