Netflix Kept Charging Me for 24 Months After Cancellation
I canceled my Netflix membership through the system on September 10, 2024. However, despite the cancellation, I continued to be charged a monthly membership fee of $8 from my card. These unauthorized charges continued for a total of 24 months.
After noticing the issue, I contacted Netflix customer service by phone yesterday. During the conversation, I was told that Netflix would only issue a refund for the six-month period following the cancellation date and that the charges from earlier months would not be refunded. However, it can easily be verified through your system logs that the account has not been actively used and no content has been streamed since September 10, 2024. Limiting the refund to only six months for an issue caused by a system error or duplicate charges that was not my fault is not fair.
I request a full refund of all unauthorized charges made to my card from September 10, 2024, to the present, including the charges for the months that Netflix has refused to refund. Otherwise, I will continue the chargeback process through my bank and will file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Committee for the remaining balance.
