MoneyPay Deducted Funds Under the Guise of Paying a Card Fee

Moneypay took money from my debit card claiming it was for a credit card fee payment. I received a response stating that my complaint is being evaluated and they will provide me with further updates. It has been a month, but still haven't received any communication from them or received a refund. I have been waiting patiently, but the absence of any communication or indication of a refund is starting to frustrate me, is this a scam? If so how did they answer in the first place?? I would really appreciate it if they could provide an update on the situation or initiate the refund in a timely manner.
