Mitsubishi Tech Yells at Customer and Rips Paperwork Over Price Negotiation
On July 7, 2026, around 8:30 PM, an authorized Mitsubishi air conditioner service team arrived at my home in Bahçeşehir, Istanbul. They inspected the air conditioner, explained what needed to be done, and quoted $159 for cleaning. Purely to negotiate, we asked if $159 wasn't a bit high and tried to discuss whether $106 would be possible.
Upon hearing this question, one of the service technicians started yelling at us, ripped up his service paperwork, and threw it down. There were three male technicians present, while inside the house it was just three women and two babies. Although no physical violence occurred, their aggressive attitude, tone of voice, and shouting made us feel as if we were on the verge of being physically assaulted, and we were terrified. We had not said anything disrespectful or acted rudely; we had simply tried to discuss the price.
During this incident, our children in particular were deeply affected and frightened, and we felt completely unsafe in our own home. No payment was made following the incident, and we did not sign any service forms. Even so, I find this behavior completely unacceptable.
I demand that a thorough investigation be conducted regarding the employee or employees involved and that necessary disciplinary measures be taken, that this team or any similar crew never be sent to our home again, and that I be updated on the outcome.
