Metro Turizm Bus Broke Down and Forced Me to Cancel My Trip
On January 20, 2026, at 5:30 PM, I purchased a bus ticket for seat number 23 on Metro Turizm trip number 522737, traveling from Kayseri to Gaziantep, and paid $18 for the ticket. I bought the ticket with my credit card at the Metro Turizm ticket office at Kayseri Bus Terminal.
After boarding the bus, I noticed that the power outlets and the air conditioning were not working. In addition, smoking inside the bus was tolerated during the journey. Furthermore, due to engine misfiring and clutch problems, it was clearly noticeable that the vehicle had serious mechanical defects.
Because of these issues, the bus was unable to depart the terminal until 7:45 PM, and immediately after leaving, it broke down again in front of the terminal. Due to the freezing cold weather in Kayseri, the lack of functioning air conditioning, and the fact that the vehicle did not feel safe, I was forced to get off the bus and could not continue my journey on this trip.
Despite not receiving the service and experiencing all of these issues, no refund was issued for my ticket. When I contacted the Metro Turizm ticket office at Kayseri Bus Terminal, my refund request was rejected.
I am requesting an urgent investigation into this trip, which was unsafe, unhygienic, and technically defective, that the necessary actions be taken against the responsible individuals and departments, and that the $18 ticket price I paid be refunded to me.
