Meshy.ai Trapped User in $160 Annual Subscription and Refused Written Refund Terms
I attempted to purchase a monthly subscription plan on the Meshy.ai website, which was advertised at $13 per month. However, I realized only after the transaction that this $13 rate was exclusively applicable to annual purchases, as the checkout flow redirected me directly to an annual payment screen. Because my payment details were already saved, the moment I clicked "Purchase," approximately $160 was instantly debited from my card. I only required a one-month plan, yet I was inadvertently forced into a one-year membership without clear notification.
The transaction took place on February 17, and when I emailed the support team immediately afterward, they requested my invoice details. I provided invoice number LM18ATX4-0003. They stated that if I had not used more than 100 credits, a full refund would be processed, even adding, "You appear eligible; support will follow up within 3 business days." Following their explicit instructions, I converted the annual subscription back into a monthly subscription plan.
Despite completing all these steps, my money has not been refunded, nor am I even permitted to access the 1-year membership I paid for. I was wronged first by misleading pricing displays that tricked me into an annual commitment, and second by broken support promises that left me without funds or service.
I demand a full refund from Meshy.ai for the total amount charged under invoice LM18ATX4-0003, that my account be corrected to reflect only a standard monthly plan, and that these misleading subscription pricing tactics be permanently discontinued.
