Merrell Moab 3 Sole Seam Tears After 6 Months; Warranty Refund Claim Rejected

Approximately six to seven months ago, I purchased a pair of Merrell Moab 3 shoes from North California. A slit-like tear—appearing almost as if cut by a blade—formed on the inner-facing side of the right shoe, right between the sole and the outer layer. Despite having used the product for a relatively short duration, having it fall apart like this has left me deeply disappointed.

Following this issue, I submitted the shoes for inspection through the North California store and requested a full refund. However, after a superficial inspection, my request was rejected with zero explanation, stating only that "your return request has been rejected." Beyond North California's unhelpful stance, the fact that the Merrell brand itself remained entirely indifferent and uninvolved in the process has severely shaken my trust as a consumer.

When I spoke with North California by phone, no explanation was provided regarding the grounds for the rejection. For a product I paid approximately 6,000 TRY for to develop such a tear, only for both the retailer and Merrell to abandon responsibility without providing any justification to the customer, is completely unacceptable.

I demand that the shoes undergo a detailed re-inspection by Merrell under the scope of manufacturing defects, that a reasoned and fully explained evaluation report be shared with me, and that my grievance be resolved through either a full refund or a replacement with a non-defective product.
