I Canceled Meitu During the Free Trial but Still Got Charged
I downloaded the Meitu app on my Samsung phone after seeing that it included a 3-day free trial period. I only used the app for one day, then canceled my subscription and completely deleted the application from my device. Despite this, on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 9:26:39 PM, I noticed that approximately $9 had been charged to my Vodafone Pay bill under the description “Meitu VIP-1 Month.”
I did not receive any approval SMS, email notification, or confirmation message regarding this transaction. I only realized the charge about a week ago when I reviewed my phone bill, and I immediately contacted Vodafone customer service. However, they informed me that they could not process refunds or cancellations and were unable to help with the issue. At the moment, the charge appears to have been applied only for this month, but I do not know whether additional charges may continue in future billing periods.
I do not accept being charged a subscription fee after canceling within the free trial period and deleting the app entirely. I request a full refund of the approximately $9 unfairly charged to my Vodafone Pay account/bill. I also demand that the “Meitu VIP-1 Month” subscription be permanently terminated and that I receive confirmation guaranteeing that no additional charges will be applied in the future.
