Massimo Dutti Ignored My Plea After My Wallet Was Stolen Inside the Store

September 26, 2025 3:32 PM6

On September 25, 2025, around 1:00 PM, while shopping at the Massimo Dutti store in Teşvikiye, I realized that the zipper of my handbag had been opened and my wallet had been stolen. I immediately informed the store staff and asked them to close the doors and call the police. However, the employees ignored my request and offered no assistance whatsoever. Later, I learned that similar incidents had happened in the store before, yet no proper security measures had been taken.

My wallet contained cash in both Turkish lira and U.S. dollars, my ID card, driver’s license, several credit cards, and my company’s corporate cards. After the incident, I canceled all my cards and IDs and filed a report with the police. I also notified the store and Inditex customer service by phone.

This incident has caused me both financial and emotional distress. I am filing a complaint against the store for its negligence and lack of adequate security measures. I request compensation for my losses, improved security in the store, and a more humane and responsible approach in handling such situations in the future.
