Mapfre Insurance Denied Insurance Approval and Charged Surprising Fees
In May, I received information from Medicana Avcılar Hospital that my physiotherapy treatment had been approved after submitting numerous documents. However, one month later, they claimed that there was an error in the approval and informed me that my insurance coverage had been denied, resulting in a demand for payment. The hospital stated that they had been waiting for a response from the insurance company for an extended period. They provided a reference number and directed me to contact Mapfre customer service, who kept repeating the same message that the hospital should provide the necessary follow-up. The hospital, on the other hand, informed me that the insurance had rejected the claim entirely, leaving me with no choice but to pay the fees after two months. I no longer seek a resolution to this issue, as I simply want to share my experience.
