In September 2025, I purchased L’Oréal Telescopic Mascara based on a salesperson’s recommendation. After just a few uses, I started experiencing stinging, redness, and heavy eye discharge. When I visited an eye doctor, I was diagnosed with an allergic reaction and an infection, and I had to undergo antibiotic treatment.
Since I really liked how the mascara looked on my lashes, I thought the first product might have been expired or defective. So in December, I purchased the same mascara again from a different cosmetics store. However, after using this second product, I experienced the same symptoms again and had to go through another long course of eye treatment.
I had not previously contacted L’Oréal or the stores where I purchased the product. However, after explaining my situation to my pharmacist, I was told that they had experienced similar issues with the same mascara and that this situation should definitely be reported. That is why I decided to write this complaint.
I request that L’Oréal Telescopic Mascara be thoroughly examined in terms of its ingredients, expiration dates, production, and storage conditions. I also ask that necessary safety checks be carried out, that I receive a response regarding the harm I experienced, and that appropriate measures be taken to prevent other users from facing similar health issues.
