I’ve been using my LG 42LA660S-ZA TV for years without any issues, but now I’m extremely disappointed. LG has completely cut off software updates, and as a result, I no longer have access to any of the apps. Streaming services, smart functions—everything is gone.
When I contacted customer service, they told me that the model had 10 years of software support, and apparently that period is now over. But this forces customers like me to buy a brand-new TV, even if the current one is still working perfectly in every other way.
LG, this is clearly a tactic to push people into unnecessary upgrades. I demand that you either extend support or provide access to a basic app update that lets the device remain usable. Cutting off functionality on a fully working TV is unacceptable.
