LG F4V3VYWKPE 1400 Speed 9 Kilogram Washing Machine Produces a Burnt Odor
On May 7, 2023, I purchased an LG washing machine, model F4V3VYWKPE, with a 9 kg load capacity and 1400 revolutions per minute. Currently, when the machine is running, a very strong odor resembling the smell of burning wires emanates from the detergent compartment towards the front panel. Despite cleaning the drum and filter, the smell persists. We called the service, and today the technician came to inspect. However, the service employee said the following: "This smell comes from the silicone applied to the electronic board. We receive complaints from everyone, but we have no solution; your nose will get used to it over time." I then called and spoke with them myself. I was told that there is no solution, even if they change the board, the next board will have the same silicone, and the smell will persist. If we replace the machine, the new one will also have the same problem, and this has been going on for 14 years. I find this situation unacceptable. We paid a high amount to get the best. The problem that has arisen is truly disappointing. If such an issue exists, they should warn buyers at the time of sale. I insist on an immediate resolution to my problem. Otherwise, I will take this matter to the Consumer Affairs Court.
