I always keep my Ledger Nano S safely stored in its original box when not in use. It has never been dropped, exposed to water, or subjected to any physical damage. However, when I tried to use it again after some time, I was shocked to find that the screen no longer works. The device doesn't turn on, and the display stays completely black no matter what I do.
This is very frustrating because I took every precaution to keep it in perfect condition. I later found out that I could purchase a replacement screen, but the cost is extremely high—around ₺1000. I simply don’t understand how a device that hasn’t been touched or misused could fail like this.
Is this a recurring issue with Ledger Nano S? Am I expected to buy a new screen every time it randomly stops working? For a product that’s supposed to safeguard critical assets, this type of failure is unacceptable. I’m requesting an explanation and urgent support from Ledger. Either the quality of the screens needs to be addressed, or users should be compensated when the product fails for no apparent reason.
