LG Nanocell TV Screen Develops Scratches Repeatedly – Costly Repairs Every Two Years

I purchased a 49-inch LG Nanocell TV, and within the first year, horizontal scratches appeared on the screen. LG serviced it under warranty and replaced the screen. However, the same issue reappeared after another two years, and when I contacted service again, they quoted a repair cost of at least ₺10-15,000. When I asked if I’d have to pay this every time scratches occur, they suggested it could be “usage-related,” potentially caused by keeping it plugged in or using a damp cloth for cleaning.
Interestingly, during setup, LG’s authorized service recommended and sold me a surge protector and a special cleaning kit to avoid these exact issues, which I have used diligently. Despite this, I’m expected to cover repairs for an issue that seems to recur due to a flaw. I’ve filed a complaint with customer service, but I’ve yet to receive a response. I’m sharing this here hoping LG will finally address this recurring problem and prevent other customers from facing similar issues.
