After a Ledger firmware update, accounts may appear missing, but your assets are usually safe. Here’s what to do:
Don’t panic — funds are on the blockchain.
Crypto isn’t stored on the device. Ledger holds your private keys. If you have your 24-word recovery phrase, access can always be restored.
Reinstall coin apps.
Firmware updates may remove apps (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.). Open Ledger Live → Manager and reinstall the needed apps.
Re-add accounts.
Go to Ledger Live → Accounts → Add account and let it resync. Balances usually reappear after synchronization.
Check the correct network.
For ERC-20 or other tokens, ensure the correct network and address are selected.
Confirm the correct recovery phrase.
If the device was reset and set up as new, old accounts won’t show. Restore using “Restore from recovery phrase” directly on the device (never enter your seed on a website).
Update or reinstall Ledger Live.
Clear cache or reinstall if needed.
