Lacoste Shoes Paint Runs in Rain: SuperStep Exchange Rejected

On 11.03.2026 I bought a pair of Lacoste men’s shoes from the SuperStep store in Kentpark. After wearing the shoes in rainy weather, the shoes got wet and the paint started to smear and flow on the surface. I took the shoes back to the store and they sent them for inspection. After the inspection, the shoes were returned to me with a written statement that the problem was caused by me. However, I do not accept this, because the shoes were never washed, never put in the washing machine and no extra process was applied other than normal use. It is not realistic to expect a shoe not to come into contact with rain or water at all, and this is not something I can fully control in daily life. I believe that a product at this price and brand level should not have its paint smeared just because it gets wet in the rain. I request that my shoes be taken back and that at least a product exchange be provided, and I kindly ask Lacoste and SuperStep to review this decision and resolve my grievance.
