I purchased a Jack Wolfskin thermos from SPX, which claimed to keep liquids hot for 12 hours according to the product description. However, in a warm environment, it only maintained the heat for 8 hours. Disappointed, I returned the product to SPX a week later for inspection, but they refused to accept it, stating there was no manufacturing defect.
When we requested the documents from the inspection to take the matter to the Consumer Arbitration Board, the store manager was dismissive, initially saying, "We already gave you the documents." After some back-and-forth, I insisted, and the manager reluctantly provided the documents. The Arbitration Board ruled in my favor, deciding that the product should be returned and a full refund issued to me.
Despite multiple interactions with SPX customer service, they were not solution-oriented at all. We have now taken legal action, and the company’s lawyer has suggested that the payment be deposited into the enforcement office and released to my lawyer upon returning the product. Even though this request was made, the payment has not been made for days. We are now moving forward with enforcement action for the 3,000 TL.
After this experience, I strongly advise thinking twice before shopping at SPX. If you encounter issues, you should definitely pursue your rights through legal channels; otherwise, you risk being greatly inconvenienced over your own money.
