Amazon Delayed My Warranty Refund Beyond the Legal Time Limit
Approximately 1 year and 8 months ago, I purchased a Jabra Elite 8 Active headset from Amazon Türkiye. While still under warranty, the product developed a fault. Since the headset could not be repaired, I expected to receive an equivalent replacement. Instead, I was only offered a refund of the original purchase price of approximately $84, even though the current market price of the product has increased significantly due to inflation. Although this solution left me at a financial disadvantage, I accepted it in order to avoid prolonging the process.
My main problem began after accepting the refund. It has now been approximately one and a half months since Amazon approved the refund request and about one month since I returned the product and it was received at Amazon's warehouse. Despite this, the refund has still not been credited to my account. My Amazon account clearly shows that the return was received and that the refund process was initiated, yet no payment has been made.
Not only was I placed at a disadvantage by being offered only the original purchase price instead of an equivalent replacement, but Amazon has also continued to withhold my approximately $84 refund far beyond the expected refund period. This prolonged delay is unacceptable and is not what I would expect from a company such as Amazon.
I respectfully request that Amazon complete my approved refund immediately and transfer the refund amount to my account without any further delay. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I intend to pursue my rights through the appropriate consumer protection authorities, including filing a formal complaint regarding the excessive delay in processing my refund.
