There are several ways to fix Instacart payment declines:

• First, enter your billing address, card number, and expiration date correctly. Make sure these details are correct—even a typo can cause a decline.

• Update your Instacart app or website with your new credit or debit card information if it expired recently. Check your bank account or credit card to make sure you can afford the Instacart order. Insufficient balance can prompt payment decline.

• You should also check with your bank for temporary holds or restrictions that may be causing the decline, especially for Instacart transactions. Instacart may temporarily pre-authorize your card for a small amount above the order total to verify it. It usually passes in a few days.

• If your shopper makes replacements or produces weight changes, Instacart will only charge you for the final order value. After verifying your information and bank account, contact Instacart customer service if the issue persists. If possible, they can investigate or suggest alternative payment methods.
