On January 6, I made a hotel reservation through Hotels.com. Even though I selected Saturday night in the system, the confirmation email showed Sunday night instead. In addition, although I selected three guests, the reservation was confirmed as 2 adults and 1 infant. As soon as I noticed this, I called the hotel and asked for the reservation details to be corrected. However, they told me they could not make any changes themselves and that I would need to cancel the reservation.
Following this, I canceled my reservation the same day through Hotels.com. The amount of approximately $82 USD had already been charged to my credit card for the reservation. After completing the cancellation, I expected a refund, but despite several days passing, the amount has not been refunded to me.
I have spoken with customer service multiple times, including again today. During these conversations, I was told that the refund would be processed, but excuses such as not being able to reach the hotel were given. No concrete solution has been provided, and my refund still has not been issued. I have my reservation details as well as records of my conversations with customer service representatives.
Since I canceled this reservation through Hotels.com at the hotel’s direction, I request that the $82 USD charged for this booking be refunded to my credit card in full, without any deductions, and as soon as possible.
