I own a 2021 Honda CR-V with a CVT transmission, and I’ve been dealing with multiple ongoing issues that make the car both uncomfortable and potentially unsafe to drive. While driving in traffic, if I brake suddenly and then lift my foot off the brake, the car jolts forward violently, almost as if it’s been hit from behind. It’s unsettling and dangerous.
In stop-and-go traffic, after slowing down and pressing the gas again, the vehicle often jerks repeatedly, as if it's struggling to respond. Also, during the first 5–10 minutes after starting, if I release the gas at low speeds, the car feels like it cuts fuel and stalls momentarily. When I try to accelerate again, it surges and hesitates unnaturally—clearly a drivability issue.
I recently had both the transmission and differential fluids changed, but the behavior was present even before the service. Despite the vehicle still being under warranty, Honda service centers and headquarters have refused to acknowledge or resolve the issue.
This kind of treatment is unacceptable for a brand like Honda. They are acting as if nothing is wrong, which is deeply disappointing. The brand is clearly failing to uphold the standards and reliability it promises.
