Brand-New 2024 Honda HR-V Won’t Start – Battery Dead at 300km
I purchased a brand-new 2024 Honda HR-V in August 2024, and after just 300 km, the car completely stopped working. When I contacted Honda customer service, they immediately said, "The battery is dead." How is that even possible? The car is brand new!
I didn’t drive the vehicle for one week with the ignition completely off, and somehow, the battery drained completely. This is clearly a manufacturing defect, and yet, Honda refused to take responsibility. When I requested an inspection, they simply offered paid roadside assistance instead of addressing the actual problem.
I expect Honda to take ownership of this issue, properly inspect the car, and replace the faulty battery at no cost. A new car should not have such a serious failure this early on.
