Home Depot Customer Service Rejected RYOBI Lawnmower Repair

47

We bought our first RYOBI electric lawnmower (40V) in February 2023 to take care of the yard. A fault occurred in the lawnmower after around nine months of operation. We took the broken lawnmower back to the Home Depot where we bought it so they could fix it or replace it. A new lawnmower was sent to us after an excruciating three-month wait. The replacement worked well at first, allowing us to enjoy another year of effective lawn maintenance. Sadly, our joy was fleeting since a few months earlier, the new lawnmower we got had the exact same problem—it wouldn't start even though the batteries were fine. We were disappointed to see that Home Depot no longer offered service or accepted returns for RYOBI goods when we returned to their store, even though they still sold them. Because of this, we no longer have faith in Home Depot's customer service or the RYOBI lawnmower's quality. Considering the price, a lawnmower ought to last more than a year. We will be looking for alternatives to Home Depot for all of our home renovation requirements going forward.
