Hint Recurring Charges For No Service
I am writing to report that I have been wrongly charged for a subscription through the Hint app and to request an immediate resolution. I live in Canada and have been charged 44.99 per month in connection with a subscription to “something” within Hint, even though I do not agree with these ongoing charges. As far as I can see from my records, withdrawals of 44.99 have been taken around 24 September, 25 October, and in November and December as well, although I do not have all statements in front of me at the moment. Since this issue started around September or October, I have tried to resolve it many times. I have sent around 35 emails and tried about 18 times to cancel and request my money back. Each time, the same customer representative responds and keeps asking for the same information repeatedly, such as the first six and last four digits of my credit card and the email addresses linked to the account. Despite providing the requested information, nothing has been resolved, and I feel that the process is being unnecessarily delayed instead of actually fixing the situation and stopping the charges. I am a terminally ill patient, and I live with chronic health issues that require ongoing hospitalizations, bills, and other medical expenses. In my situation, every dollar is important, and continuing to be charged despite all my attempts to cancel feels extremely unfair and emotionally exhausting. I request the immediate cancellation of this subscription and a full refund of all 44.99 charges taken since this issue began in September or October. I also expect written confirmation that the subscription has been cancelled and that no further withdrawals will be made from my card.
