Free Fire Won’t Open Due to “Failed to Retrieve Version Config: 2” Error

I am a Free Fire player from India using an Android phone, and for some time now I have been completely unable to open the game. I downloaded the game from the Google Play Store, and every time I try to launch it, I receive the same error message: “failed to retrieve version config: 2,” after which the game does not open at all. I have not made any recent in-game purchases, but I cannot access my account or play the game because of this persistent error. I have not yet attempted any technical troubleshooting on my own, as I would first like to receive official guidance and support on how to resolve this issue correctly. I request that my Free Fire account and game access be checked and that the “failed to retrieve version config: 2” error be fixed so that I can open and play the game normally again.
