Fiat Egea Urban: Rear Window Water Leak, Warranty Denied
I want to share the problem I experienced with my 2023 Fiat Egea Urban, which started taking in water from the rear window. Although my car is still under warranty, I could not get support from the authorized services to resolve this issue. Previously, a repair was carried out at the authorized service in Aydın, and there were no problems. However, when I noticed the rear window leaking in Istanbul, I went to the Oto Koç Istanbul authorized service. Despite explaining the situation, they refused to help, claiming that since the car had been serviced elsewhere, it was no longer covered under warranty. In addition, they demanded a fee of ₺6,000 for the repair. I reported the issue to Fiat headquarters, but after consulting with the service, they also stated they could not help me. I am very disappointed by this situation, especially since my vehicle is still under warranty. I request Fiat to stand behind the product it sells and repair my car free of charge under warranty.
Unfortunately, the problem was not solved and I had to pay for it (a private mechanic in the industrial area said they could fix the problem for 1500 TL—Ümraniye Star auto glass). Still, I have never gone outside of the Fiat service until today; they said they fixed the water leak and did it for a payment of 6086 TL... When buying a car from Fiat dealers, know that they do not stand behind the vehicle. They cannot provide proper service support... You will be disappointed.
