Expedia Overcharged Me on My Hotels.com Booking and Won’t Explain the Extra Fee
On August 26, 2025, I made a reservation through Hotels/Expedia at Bitez Garden Life Hotel – All Inclusive for a 2-night stay for 5 people under reservation number 72065620635719. The total amount charged to my credit card was ₺24,105. However, the receipt I received shows ₺22,875, leaving a difference of ₺1,230 that was never explained.
At no point during the booking process was I informed that the price would be charged in U.S. dollars or that any additional commissions or hidden fees would apply. After the transaction, I realized that I was overcharged due to both currency conversion and possible service fees, none of which were disclosed in advance.
When I tried to reach customer service for clarification, I could not connect with any live support or representative. There was no proper explanation or resolution provided.
It is unacceptable to be overcharged by a foreign travel agency for a hotel located in my own country, without any transparency about the pricing or commissions. I am requesting a refund of the extra ₺1,230 that was wrongfully charged to my account.
