On April 30, 2025, Europcar charged my credit card €30 (approximately ₺1,050) without my consent or prior notice. I had no active rental or pending fees at the time, and I certainly didn’t authorize any payments. What’s deeply troubling is that Europcar seems to have retained my credit card information and has the ability to withdraw funds whenever they want, without notifying me or providing any sort of explanation.
This is a serious security breach and an absolute violation of customer trust. I tried reaching out to their customer service for clarification, but received no helpful answers—just vague, generic responses that didn’t address the issue.
As a result, I had no choice but to cancel my credit card entirely to prevent further unauthorized transactions. This whole experience has caused me major inconvenience, unnecessary stress, and wasted time. Europcar’s handling of customer data is unacceptable, and I expect an immediate refund of the ₺1,050 charged without my permission.
I urge the company to take full accountability and implement stronger data protection policies. No company should be able to freely access a customer's card and make unexplained withdrawals. This issue needs to be resolved now.
