I signed up for Etsy, opened a shop, and uploaded a product listing. However, I decided not to continue and removed the product without making any sales. Now I simply want to close my account, but Etsy is demanding a payment—even though I haven’t sold anything.
When I try to enter my card details to pay the fee just so I can shut down the account, the system rejects my payment. This makes absolutely no sense. I never completed a transaction, and I shouldn’t be held financially responsible for a listing that didn’t generate any sales.
I’m very frustrated with how complicated Etsy makes it to close an account. I’m requesting immediate action: please cancel my account and remove any charges. I shouldn’t be forced to pay for nothing.
