I Can’t Access My Old Etsy Shop and Now I’m Being Asked to Pay a Fee

I opened a seller shop on Etsy three years ago but didn’t make any sales, so I removed my listings and placed the shop in vacation mode. I haven’t touched the account since then. Out of nowhere, I started receiving emails demanding payment for something I don’t even recognize. I can’t log in to see what the issue is because I’m not receiving the security code needed to access my account.
I contacted Etsy support and provided every bit of information they asked for, but they keep telling me they won’t be able to help. It makes no sense—how am I supposed to resolve a billing issue if I can’t even log into my own account?
I never agreed to any ongoing charges and certainly shouldn’t owe anything after leaving the platform inactive for years. Etsy needs to take responsibility for helping users regain access to their accounts, especially when billing is involved. I’m asking for urgent assistance to either regain access or confirm that I don’t owe anything.
