Etihad Airways Failed to Honor My Paid Seat Selection and Ignored My Refund Requests
On a recent round-trip flight with Etihad Airways, I paid extra for seat choice, selecting middle-section seats to circumvent the hassle of the window seats. Two legs of the trip landed us in window seats, just where we did not want to be, even though we booked far in advance. When I got back, I asked for a refund for the wrong seat assignments and was given a case number with promises of a 28-business-day settlement. It has been more than three months and, despite six follow-up calls, nothing has been fixed. I get promised a reply within 72 hours every time, but none shows up. This experience is significantly less than the first-rate service Etihad promises.
